Flutterwave processed about $1 billion in transactions between Africa and Asia in the first half of 2025, driven largely by partnerships with East Asian payment companies like Norafirst and Skyee. The fintech reported that its monthly margin doubled in June compared to its 2024 average, thanks to stricter cost controls and efficiency gains.

Enterprise payments recorded 20% year-on-year growth in total payment volume, reflecting a stronger focus on core segments. The company also expanded its regulatory footprint, securing 20 new U.S. Money Transmitter Licenses (bringing the total to 34) and growing operations in Ghana, Senegal, Cameroon, and Zambia. Flutterwave completed its first group-wide audit, aligning with international reporting standards.

Key strategic moves in H1 2025 included partnerships with Chapter AI to boost social commerce for SMEs in 11 African countries, Global Remit to expand Send App remittance services to the UAE, UK, EU, and U.S., and Circle to enable stablecoin settlements for enterprise merchants.

CEO Olugbenga Agboola emphasized disciplined growth over “vanity metrics” and the goal of placing African innovation on the global economic map. Looking ahead, Flutterwave expects stronger performance in H2 2025, partly due to the return of its Send App to Europe, a major remittance hub for African diasporas. With remittance flows to LMICs projected to reach $690 billion by 2025, the company is positioning itself for its next growth phase and reinforcing its status as one of Africa’s top fintech firms.
